When space is silence…

Words, sounds, and space…

Real women don’t cry

I feel incomplete
There is an empty space inside my skin
a void containing all pain
    intangible
without any light or colour
I want to cry

Be strong  –an echo with mom’s voice
Tears only bring troubles
You shed them too often

I try           I improvise a sarcastic smile
               mocking my own weakness
No more tears!  –I write

Hours pass by        maybe days
a week with disguised sadness
Innocent unshed tears wonder in the dark

I try           I hold my head high
               keep my back straight
Remove those thoughts!  –I require

I breath the next moments
 one     by       one
The air feels still

An ephemeral impulse makes me forget
commands
instructions
all  echos

I lay down  and  cry …

On dancing while the music lasts

Contact without attachment
Expanded freedom
      limited space

    hips
  beats
     heels

tempo    step step      smile
            quick quick    slow
             one two     turn

feel the breeze
move your hair
spin spin    spin again!

sense passion at the touch
   (stranger’s hand)

close your eyes
detach your body

mark the steps
play the game

let him lead
each step
every turn
till the end

when

           silence

starts

exchange no names
               no leads
no consequences

Conversations with a silent cat

Amelia wears blue again
powders her nose
and whispers to the cat

You’re in my thoughts               often
                                       almost  constantly
I was upset with myself
          worried about you

Where were you when I was falling down?

Not that it matters anymore
I know you were hiding
                    afraid,  maybe
                    oblivious for sure
You are just a cat  after all
                just wildly detached
                        alone by choice
                         lonely at heart

Amelia removes some space
pets her distant company
shares the silence

Your eyes look so sad
Yet you are ready to turn and leave
          without a purr
                        a meow

You’ll be back –said Amelia
You are just a cat!
