We meet again –chance
Two flights one destination
One week two agendas
Dinner at seven tomorrow
Attraction –cloaked
A kiss in the dark
Words that disappear at the touch of our hands
Caution consigned to oblivion
Daylight detachment –confusion
Complicity in a subtle smile
Desire dispersed in pragmatism
A just-friends agreement
Concert at the palace –chaos
Conscious dismissal of boundaries
Distance dissolved in rapture
A storm
We embraced each other –silent farewell
Two flights two destinations
Freedom no path
A choice

A lot of colliding emotions here–I especially like the contrast between the night time kiss and the daytime detachment. We’ve all been there, as in: thinking all day about what happened the night before REALLY meant! Nicely done.

So sad to not be able to love openly. One has to wonder about what is not said.

i like the turn from two fights, one destination, to two. Sadly some journeys are not meant to be shared together.

So much happening underneath – and so hard to stay in that tension. Love the abrevated form… Sometimes a story is stronger by saying less.

Excellent story poem. I so enjoy the contrast between day and night and the emotions.
