When space is silence…

Words, sounds, and space…

Autumn stupor

Drowsed by golden leaves,
Amelia  rests  at  her  balcony.

Her thoughts blink purple and red,
under a Monetian sunset.

Amelia wonders about the passion contained in clouds.
A secret desire? A lover’s touch?

Scarlet elixir indulges her lips.
Eyelids closed. He whispers. She observes.

  1. I love the wispy hint of story offered here, and especially the phrase “the passion contained in clouds.”

  2. Monetian sunset. Amelia wonders about the passion contained in clouds

A Monetian sunset would inspire that question for sure.

  3. A lovely imagery – monetian sunset ~ perhaps there is a happy ending after all ~

  4. I love the visuality and colourful vibrancy of your quadrille, Adriana, and the fact that it tells a story in 44 words. I can see Amelia in my mind. Wonderful phrases: ‘Monetian sunset’ and ‘passion contained in clouds’.

  5. I do love the return of you Amalia persona… the imagery is wonderful, and yes there is a story left between caesuras.

  6. I really like the imagery in this piece. Well done. 🙂
