I want to be in the city someone forgot to build
right in the middle of dreams
where there is nothing to hide
A city fueled by a passionate sun
who writes temporal poems on afternoon clouds
A city at night covered by black-winged butterflies
whose flutter sparkles abstract motifs on an ever-changing sky
I want to be where tears and pain are shown
as much as laughter and joy
Where contrast is welcome
paradigms are broken
truths challenged
Snow & Fire
Storm
Desire
I want to be there …

Sounds like a great place to be … somewhere where honesty is more important than appearances

That’s the place! 🙂

Wouldn’t it feel right to be in a place where we do not need to wear a mask or hide our emotions. I like how the repetition highlights your yearning for such a place.

the opening line is really great; loved how that want for a place of nothingness rains throughout the poem… nice write

I would want what you want. It would be so nice if all emotions would be acceptable and able to be expressed freely! I like the repeating line you chose. “I want to be there” too!

Stunning writing. Nice, subtle use of repetition but above all the beauty of the poem itself and the sense of freedom in that place not yet born. Kinda made me want to put on some music and dance!

Ohh! Do dance! Dancing is liberating and a wonderful way to express ourselves.

That polarity you articulate so smoothly here – I believe it is the very basis of the energy that comes together in some kind of creative act and forms whatever we desire. The land you describe – that’s where I want to be with a whole lot of folks who are passionately exploring and experimenting with creating what all we want.
Beautiful. Thank you for letting me visit that space ‘n place.

Such cities.. a dream to be in.. and most important to be part of.. the butterflies sounds better than the lead clouds i see here outside…
